Bruxism is a common oral health disorder categorized by the unconscious grinding of your teeth. The most usual form is sleep bruxism, which occurs as you rest. If you are unsure if you suffer from bruxism, here are a few tips to ask yourself:

Were you ever been told that you snore or grind your teeth loudly while you sleep? If so, you may be heavily grinding your teeth as a result of bruxism.  The symptoms you display when you wake up could also be an indication that the disorder is occurring.

Have you ever woken up with a sore jaw or increased tooth sensitivity? Has your mouth had difficulties fully opening and closing after waking up? You may be suffering from another condition such as a TMJ disorder that is linked to bruxism. If you have any injuries to the insides of your cheeks after waking, including tissue loss, or your teeth are beginning to look dull and flat, you may have bruxism.
